Discipleship. It seems to be one of the trendy catch words that make their way around the church every few years. Hundreds of books are written on what, who, why, where and when discipleship is and what its not.
Here’s what we’re learning at FBJB. Discipleship is dirty. It’s gritty. It’s personal, and it’s not easy. There are np perfect disciples. You’ll end up with scars from personal battles, scars from defeat, and scars from growth. There are those who try and dress it up and make it pretty, but it’s not. The process is not about achieving perfection, but becoming like Jesus.
Here at FBJB we are taking a varied approach to discipleship.
We Gather together through Worship, and events.
We worship as the people each Sunday morning at 10 am here at our facility.
We hold several events per year to promote gathering together. Sunrise service,
Trunk-or-treat, Christmas celebrations, life group fellowships, and dinner on the grounds
We Connect through Discipleship.
Life groups meet on our campus each Sunday morning at 8:30am, and throughout the Treasure Coast for weekly meetings. Bible study and life on life discipleship is vital to Christian growth and maturity.
We offer weekly classes On Wed night that promote connection and growth.
Various Bible studies take place through out the week. Ladies Bible Study meets each Tues at 9:30, Mens bible study happens Tues night at 6:30pm.
We Serve through Community
For 15 years, FBJB has served our community on Tuesday night with JC”S Soup Kitchen. A hot meal, a bible study and encouragement is given to those in need in our community. Love Our City is our local outreach to serve our community with workdays and service projects. We are deeply invested in Deboche, Haiti. For almost 20 years we have supported, served, built and traveled there with teams for evangelism, buildings, and service projects.
Be One . Make One.
